On January 14 and 15, local pharmacy operations directors and assistant operations directors attended Guardian’s Leadership Effectiveness And Development (LEAD) course in Orlando. The two-day, 16-hour program focuses on building effective leadership skills. Course topics include:

  • The foundation of leadership
  • Employee engagement
  • Customer focus
  • Interpersonal skills and communication
  • Employment law
  • Performance management
  • Hiring the best talent

Upon completing LEAD, graduates use the skills they have learned to improve operations within their own organizations and develop their fellow teammates’ leadership abilities. So far, 90 percent of all operations directors at Guardian have graduated from the program.
