Guardian Pharmacy held its annual Pharmacy Management Meeting at the Aria Resort and Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada on March 1st and 2nd, 2013. This year’s meeting was held in conjunction with Managed Health Care Associates’ (MHA) Annual Summit. Almost 90 members of Leadership Teams from each of the 21 Guardian Pharmacy locations were in attendance.

Highlights of this year’s event were panel discussions on Proactive Margin Management and Operational Efficiency, industry updates and forecasts by President and CEO Fred Burke and a forward look towards management tools coming online later this year, including Guardian’s new Data Warehouse. Each session provided an opportunity to learn and discuss best practices in light of reimbursement and other industry challenges, enabling each pharmacy to provide the highest standard of service.

Guardian Pharmacies also celebrated various accomplishments; most notably, the “Pharmacy of the Year” and “Extraordinary Contribution” awards. For their exceptional growth and service to customers, Middle Tennessee Pharmacy Services (Shelbyville, TN) received the Guardian “Pharmacy of the Year” award. Debi Schulman, Marketing Manager of Guardian Southeast Florida, received the “Extraordinary Contribution” award for her above and beyond performance in creating value that increased market-share for several other Guardian Pharmacy locations across the country.
